    SOLD

For sale is my 2008 R32 in Deep Blue Pearl with Navigation.

    31,839 miles.

Tires are brand new Continental ExtremeContact DWS with less than 10 miles since installation this month.
    ---
    Modifications:

Exhaust: A previous owner put one of those ECS resonator delete kits on it and plugged the flapper valve. I reconnected the flapper so the car is much quieter around town and when shifting under lighter loads.

Sidemarker lights: Previous owner put in aftermarket white bumper sidemarkers that were not very good. I replaced them with new Hella OEMs that I hit with two coats of Duplicolor Metalcast (translucent metallic).

    Misc:

    DRLs are deactivated with VCDS.

Automatic window and sunroof closing is activated through the rain sensor (this one was difficult to code!)

Locking beep is activated with VCDS.

I can change any of these settings/values with VCDS if you’d like. I also will include the 3rd party VCDS cable with the car so you can scan codes, reset service interval reminders and change adaptations as you like.

Clear bra installed by original owner. Did/does its job.
    ---
    Service:

I did the 30,000 mile service myself with Mobil 1 0w40

The DSG recall was done January 2011 at a local dealer. Also had some weird minor fuel leak at the tank fixed under warranty at that time and it has not recurred since (might have been overfilled previously).

The car is sealed with two coats of Zaino Z-2.

I bought the car with about 26,000 miles in December 2010. I had it inspected by a local garage at the time and there were no problems. I have all my documentation plus a few records from previous owners I found stuffed in the manual. Besides the resonator, the car is unmolested.

I don’t think I need to explain much else about this car here. All the options are standard on the MkV R32s and it’s quicker to list what it lacks (reverse camera, power seats, heated steering wheel, Bluetooth).

You probably understand how visceral the R32 experience is and how painful it is to sell anything with this motor in it. It’s like owning a gonzo horse, who waits for the reins to be let out because she lives to run. Alas, a motorcycle is on its way and three vehicles is too many.

    $21,500 firm.

Had one test drive this weekend. One more week exclusively on Vortex; next weekend it goes onto cars.com and I deal with those headaches. Car is located in Lancaster, PA. Come check it out!

    Sold to Carmax for $21k.

Couldn't take another week of BS, time-wasting and unserious joyriders. I now know why car salesmen are sociopaths.

    I wasn't talking about you.

The car was clean, not mint. Cars that get driven get dents. My car had very minor body dings and scuffs that I was happy to point out and were in line with its age and mileage. The vehicle was in perfect mechanical condition.

I was asking a fair price for what I was selling, since Lowball-O-Rama freaking Carmax handed me a check that week for $500 less than what I was asking here.

If you got a better deal, then congratulations.

BTW, Carmax is listing that "beat" junker for $25,000 now.

Settle down, butthurt vigilante. I'm the one who's out $60 because of you. There are people here trying to sell their cars and don't need you spamming sold threads to the top because you're on a mission.
