FS: 97 Golf Coupe ABA16v (ABF clone)

The GF has been bothering me to get rid of this car for awhile and finally today i have agreed with her :-(. Priorities change in life and i have come to one of that points in mine.
Some of you may have seen this car around.
I bought this car 3 years ago from a elderly lady with only 37k original kms. She barely drove this thing. She also told me she drove it only for one winter and i have driven it for only one more so she only has 2 winters total and it shows. Originally it was a Golf CL with the ACC 1.8L 8v along with a sloppy box automatic.
After driving it for that initial winter the mod bug hit me and i decided to do a aba swap with a 16v head. I decided to go this root cause i was sick of vr6 swaps and this was very different. Took a long time to get her to where she is now but she runs mint. Just took her out of storage 3 weeks ago and right now im using it as a daily driver. Anyways here is a list of mods

-95 obd1 ABA block mated with a 91 2.0L 16v passat head completely rebuilt from top to bottom by Graham at Canadian Cylinder head.
Motor only has around 8k since the rebuild. Its running on the obd1 2.0 aba management with
techtonics tuning aba16v chip. Motor has the ABF high compression pistons.
-transmission is a 91 corrado 02a tranny with 60k on it.
-Racelands coilovers
-Racelands header
-Magnaflow catback exhaust
-bbs RXII's from a 03 wolfsburg jetta
-vr6 5 bolt conversion and Drivers edition brakes (new pads and rotors).
-GTI dual chamber headlights
-Fog lights (dont work, need light switch and fuse)
-GTI tails
-VR6 GTI seats
-aftermarket deck.

Right now the car has 51xxx original km. Its really hard to find a nice 2dr MK3 golf or gti in this kind of shape. No rust on the underbody whatsoever and only has 1 very minor spot that has just started to bubble on the hatch.
The car isn't perfect. It could use a new steering column as when the shop was putting in the new pedal set for the manual they had to remove the steering column and they lost one of the bearings for it so it has a very minor slight shake it you try to shake the steering wheel. It doesn't bother me but it might for some.

I will sell it certified and emission tested.

Awesome car man! Can't believe your girl wants rid of if....that aint right. I hope she's a keeper, cause that a big sacrifice IMHO...

My wife is all about sweet old buds. Maybe I found the one in a million...dunno.

**edit: your price is to low. I would sart at 5000 with a car this clean. there prob only a few mk3's left in ontario that are not winter ruined.

Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, I'm beggining to think the price is too low. I have a whole bunch of people interested but i need to get rid of it asap. I know I'm taking a big loss here that's why the price is firm.
