Yes, that's gorilla tape. These are in pretty rough shape. The leather is totally fooked and the bolsters aren't that great, either. I figure the headrests and bases are worth more than the seats themselves, but they might be useful to someone for something.

Price: $make an offer. I doubt I'll refuse. I need the space and have way too many seats.

Pick up preferred, but I can meet peeps in western-southern-coastal Maine and the White Mts.

Hey, I could use the 2 lower bolsters with foam, that look like they're in good condition.

How is the hidden bolster, the one obscured by the seat?

    Thanks,
    Peter

Sorry if that pic makes them look good, but they're really not. They're all a bit beat up and pushed/winged out. I'm not sure what you mean by the "hidden bolster"

I composed a pm back to you but must've not sent it. Sorry bout that.

It said: the bases on these are actually part of the seat frame itself and cannot simply be unbolted as mkII recaros can. However, if you're a crafty welder anything is possible. I'm not sure about you bolting those mkII bases into a mk1 and whether you meant mk1 rocco or g/j. I have a friend I can ask for you who has experience swapping every known seat into every known vw as well as numerous seat base swaps.

FYI, Mk.2 Scirocco seat frames physically fit the Mk.1, but the center rail is too tall and will cause excessive play.

I was talking about the bolster, that was obscured by the seat, in the picture.

Ah, in the picture It's actually not bad at all. It's worn but not f'ed. If you want the lowers, feel free to make an offer. Come here & pick them up and they're free or I'd trade for a good sandwich. It's just my time taking them apart, packing and shipping. lmk
