WIPER RADIO HOOD all connected

I realize that my hood radio and wipers are all connected because i went to plug in my IPOD adapter to the back of my factory deck and once plugged in nothing works. When i unplug my radio, my hood fault goes away and my wipers work. As soon as i plug in the factory radio faults come up and the wipers dont work.

I realize there is a micro sensor envolved, but i cant find anywhere that actually tells you how to fix it. Right now i have no radio because it is raining.

Oh and the connector i had for my radio was the wrong one so nothing new has been added. The only thing that changed was i pulled my radio out and unplugged the harness and plugged the harness back in.

You must make sure the radio is seated fully back in the dash or you will get the issues you described. I am not really sure why VW decided to tie the radio into the wiper/hood switch, but it is annoying if you don't get the radio fully back in the dash.
