Here in Chicago in a hood where I exercise, I found this actual sign. It looks like an actual government issue sign too, not somebody's idea of having some harmless fun. It does remind though how I know trained dachshunds in another hood who are well trained invisible fence dogs that threaten to attack you when you pass by them

Along Bloomfield Ave in Hartford is this sign:

I never knew what it really meant until a google search for the picture today. It sits before a railroad track and it means school buses and other vehicles required to stop are exempt from having to stop. Funny thing about that is I've seen trains cross there before.

I have to stop this idiot from deminishing my credibility every time he posts because my usernsme is in his sig.

For the longest time even into my teens I was puzzled by this one. I used to think who would want to live on a road without power... Then I learned basically it's government/municipal lingo for "Eventual Dead End".

Then I saw this for the first time about 7 years ago in VA. I looked up, said "wtf does that even mean" and proceeded to pull into the "box" as I learned later it was called and got yelled at by my from VA passenger about how I was going to get a ticket and for the life of me could not understand why. I spent the next day arguing about the fact that so long as your not a "moron" you should have no trouble navigating an intersection in VA, especially since they are big, open, and the lights are several minutes long.

Apparently you also need new windshield wipers

I would say the Bat Cave is straight ahead just past the sign. The woods behind it are probably a cover and raise up when he approaches.

Town of Effing, Austria. The sign has been stolen multiple times so they've since installed a more secure one.

The only time I see the "exempt" signs, they are on decommissioned tracks or at least ones that are not in use due to construction.

Compression release engine braking, or Jake Brakes, are very loud in town.

When I was around 4 or 5 years old my dad told me "Falling Rock" was a Native American indian who shoots arrows at white man driving by. I always looked for him but he never appeared.

He had ways of making me believe crazy ****, he used to spray paint rocks gold and tell me he stole it from a pirate when he was in the army. And he also watched way to many country western cowboy movies.

I can see that with trucks and whatnot but not so much with cars...how many trucks do you get coming through a smaller town though?

Those signs are for the trucks and not cars, iirc.
We have a lot of highway and farm/ranch to market roads which travel through smaller towns.
So quite a few trucks everyday I would bet.

You must not drink in the mornings.
That is what the coffee cup is for, convincing your neighbors that you are not tossing on back at 7:30AM.

When I see a no left turn sign, and it is perfectly fine to turn... 3 way intersection , two lane roads, light to moderate traffic.

There's a road with one of those signs in a small village near my house. It just happens to be a main throughway to a big area of town.

Yield Sign at the right turn with a dedicated merging line. All the idiots stop at this sign instead of accelerate and merge.

I HATE these and have gotten into a minor accident because of it.

Come on people, its easier to merge when you're moving!
