So in the garage, I have a ~00 VFR800 that was rear-ended (not mine). It rides very unstable in the turns (drops in and shimmies as it corners). I see so far a bent wheel, and the chain is misaligned on the sprocket (always to one side, not down the middle). All signs point to an alignment issue, though only the front can really be adjusted.
What ideas does anyone have for rectifying the situation?
Since there's no adjustment for rear wheel alignment, nor sprocket alignment, what can I do other than replace the whole rear suspension?
The front seems to be together properly.
