check your cv boots. they tear often, dry out and cause the vibration. If that is your problem do not buy cheap replacements, they won't hold up for ****. FCP Groton has decent axles that aren't dumb expensive

today i jacked my car and looked at the motor mounts, none of them seemed to be cracked, the engine has no check engine light on the dash, and runs smooth besides the vibration (;
the car vibrates through the floor, doors and not so much the steering wheel. The vibration happens between 2k-3500 rpms. its only while accelerating, when i take my foot off the gas it goes away as if i was coasting. Im guessing ill just have to replace both axles and see what happens? any info comment on what you think! thanks guys![]()

today i was under the car and realized i could push and pull the axles from side to side about an eighth of an inch is that normal or would that cause some vibration (;
#7
bump.. car only vibrates when trying to accelerate? i need to figure this out

Is it lowered? auto or mt? Bad alignment will make the car vibrate at low speeds. The axle should have some play in them. If your car is really low or has crap autozone axles on it it may be that.

Car is on stock suspension, has a manual tranny and hasn't been ALIGNED recently.

Try rotating the tires. I was running some Falkens and for some reason they made my car feel like a rolling massage chair. Rotated tires and it went away.
Good luck man.

Yea ill probably try that next since it costs nothing haha. What is the mount from the engine into the rad called? It's like a little snub and has a rubber bushing that practically is gone. Would that cause any vibration?

Snub mount would cause vibrations. I'd replace it if its completely gone. Also get a tire rotation, balance, and alignment.

When the car is cold I don't get the vibration could this relate to tranny fluid? Bumpt

You said the snub mount was toast, well the snub mount is a motor mount, when you accelerate the engine torques which can cause vibrations in the body of the car and not the steering wheel. Bad inner axle joints will do the same, vibrations through the car and not the wheel. If its an MT and you have low fluid I would think it would be slipping out of gear? I have an auto when its low on fluid the trans goes into "limp mode" cause it not to shift out of 2nd gear so the trans won't get damaged.

Check inner CV joints on the front, grab them and if they have movement back and forth they are worn. happened to me and i replaced both front axles and vibration went away. hope this helps![]()

check drive shaft alignment.. my car would vibrate as i accelerated as well.. was was extremely bad at high way speeds.. the p/o of my car did the clutch him self and never properly aligned the drive shaft... it needs to be so precise Audi has to use a laser to align it..caused me a ton of headaches and money on pointless sh** i didn't need
