Thread: MK3 Ignition Switch Question

    I got everything out. I replaced the switch but dont looks thats the new switch fix it. I can manually verify if both switches (old and new) works. I can push the pin and turn the switch from off to on. But when I install the switch, I cant turn it. The key turns (rotate) but no the switch.



    Does the plastic part that turn the switch is good? or is broken?

    Also, how I can unlock the steering wheel if is not installed yet? Dont know if the part that attached the tranny lock cable is bad. At least if I pull the cord the tranny is unlocked.

    What can be? Right now I cant cranks the car.
