Austin VeeDub is looking for a dedicated Parts Dismantler
We have an 8 acre salvage yard (mostly VW and Audi, lots of euro also) and a huge parts warehouse. Parts pulling is a gritty job, but it seems to attract enthusiasts, and people who enjoy "elbow grease" type of work.
Job Summary:
The parts dismantler's main responsibility is to remove parts from vehicles for the Recycled Parts department. Other tasks include warehouse maintenance, some light repair, and forklift operation.
Qualifications:
2 to 3 years salvage or automotive repair experience
must own suitable toolbox, including air tools
must be able to lift 50lbs.
Team oriented and professional
good communicator
okay with working outdoors or getting "dirty"
We are an established multi-department automotive center specializing in VW and Audi and would like to upgrade our service and add to our capacity to serve our customers. To become a better parts alternative one must be able to compete fully with the competition (although, considering our size and specific inventory, we don't have too much competition). We need experienced professionals with a love for this specific realm. (If you hang out on VWVortex, or The Samba, then you’re probably a fit.) This company would like to tweak its identity so that both regular customers, new customers and ex-customers will enjoy returning and feel taken care of, educated and respected.
A qualified applicant will be customer service oriented, team friendly and willing to learn. Applicants must be drama-free, have related education or at least three years experience, own appropriate tools (if necessary) and be no-nonsense. Our management style is structured, holds employees accountable and compensates and rewards accordingly. Our vision involves a well-balanced lifestyle. One that is very similar to Austin aesthetics but with a european automotive twist.
Please send us a resume listing your experience and qualifications along with a description of your working style and personal background.
