Faulty Range Reading

On a road trip getting down around a quarter tank of fuel remaining I noticed the [I]Range[I] reading in the MFI actually climbing rapidly. Scrolled over to the Current Consumptionscreen and sure enough it just showed dashes as if the vehicle were at a standstill. After refuel and restart the Current Consumption reading returned to normal but the Rangeis just floating around some where below its 2000 mile max.

Coding seems unchanged. Did I lose an Adap or something?

My Tablet hibernated in the middle of Autoscan so I'm unsure whether there were Faults lost. Here is the present scan:

Am I correct that the range calculation is in Address 17?
What inputs are required?
Might adaptation reconnect lost inputs?
Fuel gauge reading was always correct. Current consumption reading, gone when the problem occurred, is now present.

Possible "red herrings:" Driving through a blinding dust storm. Refueling with engine on.

Still working on this problem, no faults stored. I did not knowingly erase any DTC's, despite the Log header!

Channel A03, Consumption Correction, looks to be the problem, or an least an indicator.
Any advice on how to restore communication there?

Jack, I'm totally confused.
All I want to do is get my missing Range reading back. I have not and will not change anything until I hear from you or another expert.

Following Dana's advice I recoded using same code. A003 still not available so removed, disconnected, reinstalled cluster. A003 still not available but road test showed Range reading restored. Not really sure what fixed it but it appears that this Touareg (T1) doesn't support the A003(consumption correction) channel.
