Removed GTi grill, Fab'ed own GTD grill. looks good for a $4 job. Not too confident on how it will hold up against water though. Only time can will tell.

Yeah I feel you it sucks but up here diesel is either around the same or more expensive. You do get more bang for your buck with it. I know I don't miss the lack of power from the tdi but its def a fun car

Met up with bunch of locals up in Helen, GA. Then cruised up to Tail of the Dragon, hellbender and a ton of random back country roads. First time driving the car like that since I bagged it. Couldn't be happier with how it handled.

got my 2012 GTI chipped yesterday with the APR tune on sale. If I mearly liked my car before, I'm in love with it now

So far so good. Stock stage II pipe replaced that torn Carbonio coupler and cracked pipe and the new PCV is on. Purrs like a kitten and puts down a lot of power again.

Now that I'm getting full power again my clutch is slipping horribly. I'm tempted to do the clutch install myself since the quote I got was for $500 in labor. I've done headgaskets and suspension but never a clutch.

Smaller company. As far as the comparison... dont really know... APR makes very nice parts. I didnt want to spend $1000. I never looked into the S3 as an option. Www.drivespm.com.

You have to have a first clutch install eventually right? Its no harder than a suspension, brake, etc. install. Its all nuts and bolts. There are a few DIYs out there that I had up on my computer when I did mine for a helping hand.

I returned my tinted so don't have any pics. To me, the tinted "stuck out" more. I didn't like the dark red combo of the lights and bright paint. I though I did. Which is why i purchased the tinted...but in person, nope.
