used one coat of citrisstripper and two coats of aircraft remover. started to sand them down more. i think i might try two more coasts of aircraft remover. if that fails... then i will get them refinished.

why not just sandblast them?

Just a little bit of petroleum product on your tires will ruin them. Good luck trying to save a few bucks.

I'll take your advice and remove the tires and have the sand blasted. Will make repairing the massive curb marks easier.

Quick update. I checked things out once I got home from the office. Bag isn't rubbing, it's sitting perfectly in place like it should. Decided to drive around the neighborhood, noise sounds to be coming from the trunk. Could it be one of the bilstein shocks? I only hear it when I hit a bump in the road.
