    i have been getting into the volkswagen scene and i want to buy a mk1 jetta coupe. it could be a shell it could have rust and it also could be running i am kinda wanting to trade my none running mk2 for it and maybe money on top of that? please make it happen any jetta coupe will do...

    ya i know ... thats why i posted a add to buy one.. i know i am a noob but i found one for sale on craiglist for sale for $1000? i just anted to see whats out there anyways

    I have one. Just bought it two days ago because the guy had no idea how rare it was. Interior is excellent and all original. Wiring has never been touched, all original connectors and strut towers are flawless.

    Body has some rust but all very fixable.

    The bad...someone burned up the injector ports I am pulling the head today but everything else is original 160,000 1.6D.

    New tires
    New rebuilt IP
    New injectors
    New timing belt
