My research has me leading toward the Nissan.

Trucks in question.

05 TRD crew cab Tacoma or 06 Frontier Nismo.

Looking for 4500ish towing [maybe less not more].

Can an adult fit comfy between a booster seat and foward facing rear seat? I have looked at dimensions on edmunds but have not always found them to be accurate.

Cost to repair? One significantly higher then the other.

Will be seeing some minor trail duty.

Not sure what you mean by booster seat but if its a 4 door the rear seats can easily fit adults. My dad had the previous generation Tacoma but said the newer one didn't drive as well so he switched over to Nissan and has been happy with them. He is on his second Frontier and hasn't had any major issues with either. In fact I think the only issue he has had has been a tire pressure monitor warning light.
