I lease my Audis, and tend to trade every couple years, when the car gets around 45K to 50K miles.
I currently have a 2011 A4 Avant with 40K miles, so I'm starting to think about what I want to get next.
I've always wanted an A8, but simply can't afford a new one.
My dealer has a 2010 A8 (complete with the Sport Pkg), and the car only has 14K miles on it.
The price is reasonable, and they offered me a fair trade for my A4.
Here's what I'm thinking....I drive about 22K miles a year. If I get this low mileage A8 and drive it for 2 maybe 3 years, when I'm ready to trade again, it really wouldn't be considered high mileage.
Does the sound like a rational thing to do?
I don't have any "car" friends, so I'm looking for some feedback.
For sure a normal thing to do. Of course only do it if it is the car you want.
I have a bunch of friend who are mechanics an have saved me from buying cars that either need lots of work or have a high cost of maintenance. After all said and done I purchased a car I have been wanting for a long time. 2010 a4 avant prestige Sline fully loaded with 22k on it but it's the car I want too.
If you have any doubt if you want it or not then don't get it.
If the numbers add up correctly then go for it. You will LOVE the car. Only problem is that you will loathe getting rid of it when those two or three years are up
