Hey guys I'm in the Reston/Herndon area and need to get a few things done to my step mom's Ford Exploder. It's a recent model 2008 or something. I just moved here so don't know much about what's good in terms of body/tire shops.

It needs four new tires. I need a good shop where they do a good job and don't bull****. It could probably use an alignment too, but $200 for an alignment is absurd. A good and reasonably priced spot would be rad!

I also need to get the driver side fender replaced. Anyone know of a good body shop? This will not be insurance work, so hopefully you guys know of a spot that won't charge too much and will get it done in a reasonable amount of time. As far as I know it would just be a fender, color match, install, color sand, boom done deal. There is no frame damage.

    Thanks guys!

best deal for tires you would get at your local BJ's, Costco or Sams club.

as far as body shops go, Bubba here does really good work. I used another guy Anthony that also does amazing work. but regardless dont be suprised if the cost of it is double than what you expect. did you call ford and get a price for a fender yet?

I can take care of the body work as far as tires go Tire Rack has good prices and they will ship them to a installer close to you and most of those places give discounted prices for mounting and balance if you go through tire rack.

I'm partial to Radial Tire Co in Silver Spring but that's a haul for you. If you're looking for "round and black", as noted Costco or Tyre Rack are viable options. Tire Van is a good choice too especially since they come to your location just like a glass installer.

I haven't been under an Exploder in many years - if it still uses the independent twin i-beams, $200 is CHEAP for an alignment on those miserable s**tboxes.
