So I just read that a new Dirt title is coming end of May. I read about it here...

    http://www.gameinformer.com/games/di...-throttle.aspx

This is the first I've heard of it, and from what I can tell it looks like it's almost completely eliminated traditional rally racing. I enjoy this series mostly as a fun, mindless take on the rally genre. I have pretty much given of all hope of any serious WRC title coming out on consoles anytime soon, so I take what I can get in the form of Dirt.

Just wondering if anyone knows any other details on this, are the Group B cars still in it, etc...

EDIT: The more I read online about it, the more detatched this series is coming from Rally. From the screenshots and video I've seen, it's looks like Gymkhana and demo-derby almost exclusively. Really disappointing....I'll probably still buy it, but it seems to be getting more and more watered down with each release. Has even more of the "extreme sports" thing going on with it.

the gymkhana in dirt3 is just plane stupid IMO. i set it to the easiest setting just to get through those, and the game pretty much does everything for you.

i'll watch the videos when it comes closer to release time to see what its really like, but like most, if not all EA titles, i will only buy it used.

Yeah, if I remember correctly it has been less than one year since Dirt 3. I think this one might be billed as an offshoot of the series, but I could be wrong.
