Dubfest Car Show - 9/16/2012

Wanted to get some info about the show on here. show, kart racing as well as some other goodies in the works... so we look forward to having you there!

Honestly, the show was WAY overpriced last year considering the number of cars there. Either needs to have more cars, or the entry needs to be half of what it was last year. Sick cars there nonetheless

I hope this year is better then last year. I was disappointed with how much I paid because the turnout was so small. What about the auto-x, why doesn't that go down anymore? I prefer it much better to the drag-racing.

Trying to keep everyone happy is a never ending task. The turn out all depends on who will come. We provide the opportunity and look for a good out come. The general admission is very fair and will be slightly cheaper this year. The majority walked away with enough to compensate for the entry fee. I can go on and on but there will always be reasons. It's once a year and it's 15$, how is that so expensive?

As far as the auto-X, the cost to run it and insure it and maintain it over turned the interest and we had to go outside the VW / Audi community to make it stay an option. Yes, a small number wanted it but the drags last year proved a better interest and we have had more interest in having it again than the past 3+ years of the auto-x.

If i was able to do both i would, but with complaint of a gate fee, costs involved and staffing.. it is not going to happen unless the demand is overwhelming and concrete.

This is the longest running show out here because beyond it being a great opportunity to group car enthusiasts together, it is also a business.

Sorry Tom, I didn't mean to make my post sound so negative; I love Dubfest! I thought it was $25 so sorry for the brain fart. I just think the lower turn out made things sour for me and I had no idea that the demand for the drags was higher than the demand for the auto-x. no problem.. there was actually no LA show the previous year and the 2 years prior were hit with the economy and gas price spikes. Regardless, it all in good fun.. big or small. I look forward to having you back for 2012!

As far as norcal.. it is on hold currently due to uncontrollable location red tape.

For socal, thank you all (esp. south of the border, norcal and surrounding states) for always bringing out some fresh rides and supporting the show!

It was just showing 4 zeros. Could not enter my car's year. So I said screw it, and just registered as a 0000 model year car
