Thread: timming issue

    i got a 16v timming issue...i hit the dyno and when i put it on 8* the car throw the hp i want... but between the 1k to 2k rpm the car is very retarded to pull up... what can i do?

    they been saying to my that is the WOT switches that are bad!help please

    As far as I know, there is only one WOT switch, the other switch is for throttle shut at idle. Have you checked you checked their adjustment and operation?

    yeah bud no plugs or wiring problems is mixture i think or timing ! don't know

    Other than timing being set correctly, it is controlled by the Spark box. With the Hall sender(rpm), vacuum(load) and throttle switches (idle and WOT) for input, there is not much that can be wrong, other than the wrong spark box. That is all there is that controls timing. And not to forget the knock sensor, which that can have a big impact if it is faulty, as it'll cause timing pull.

    ohhh ok ok ...what is the function of the knock sensor?

    pre ignition is starting or running car ?
