I have decided to put the 1987 Scirocco up for sale...as I have another project in my eye, and have a daily. This way the Rocco will get the attention it needs, as I just don't have the time...it kills me to put it up, but with a wedding and another project that fell into my lap, no chance I can keep them both.
1987 16v VW Scirocco w 92 Passat 16v Swap
Mars Red
Manual Transmission
2xx,xxx km
No accidents
I purchased it from VWSlegato last fall and would love to get close to what I put into it and purchased it for.
$2800 obo
The Good:
- Original paint
- No accidents
-Polyurethane mounts
- Centre console with gauges
- Nardi leather steering wheel
-Stainlessmsteel brake lines
-Solid Motor Mounts ( custom front motor mount with subframe reinforcement)
-Extremely mint floor plan and body panels
-16v body kit in GREAT condition
-Corrado Leathers (normal wear and tear)
-CRACK FREE dash (extremely rare in these beasts)
-Had a 1992 16V Passat Swap a couple owners ago (Pulls Strong)
-Solid transmission linkage (Short shift kit with solid links)
-Original Sunroof Car with working sunroof
-Aftermarket suspension-rears are Koni Springs (Know idea what the front has but was put on by P.O in the hopes of autocrossing the car)-stiff ride
-Original "bench like" bumpers
-New windshield
-New starter
-New battery
-New alternator
-Aftermarket stereo with AUX (already wired for amp and box)
-Corrado steelies-Flat Black Rustoleum (winterized)
-Euro grill, Euro Fogs, Euro Headlamps
The Bad:
-Small oil leak (typical VW)---looks like a low end seal, never a major issue, just marking its spot.
-Rear Brakes will need done ASAP
-Will need summer tires
-Sunroof section needs a headliner
-There is about 5 small (penny size) surface rust examples on the front of the hood (I am sure from rock chips)
-Small spots of rust (5 on the rest of the car) from a dime size to a loonie, only surface..has been rust protected.
**That is all I can think of!.
Shoot me an offer...low ballers will be ignored, and if you ask me what the lowest I'll go is before you even see the car...it will go up $2000 for you!
These were taken today...so this is how it sits!

Reason: price drop
Originally a 16v car, but had the motor swapped many moons ago to the 92 passat motor.
Apparently the owner who had the swap done was prepping to track the car, but never got it all finished, so it is still a daily driver but with some good "peppyness"
School is overrated! lol (just finished my my post undergrad so I understand).
