Thread: Starting problems

  1. 04-20-2012 07:43 PM #1
Hello, I got an all stock 91 Jetta GLI. Its starting to act up....It only wants to start when I pull the CTS!
it idles like crap till I connect the CTS up again. Ive replaced the CTS and I still got the issue.

Im also following a few threads for my other issue of the car shaking/vibrating to the point I cant seen clear out my
    rearview mirror.

One last thing....anyone got any good/motivational build threads on here or other sites.

    TIA.

To get mine to start I have to do the same exact thing.I hooked my cts up to a switch in my dash for when I start it. I have issues after I've constantly been driving for about an hour my car bogs down and I can't press over halfway on the throttle or my car will cut out. I can turn the car of then back on and get a good 20 minutes until it does the same thing again...

    What is cts short for?
Are you using digi or cis?

Sounds like you need motor mounts if the engine is vibrating so much

Cts is coolant temperature sensor. And shortly after posting on this thread my car had been shaking at idle as well.i'm running cis

Solved my vibration problem. scirocconaut was correct my motor mounts where bad.

I'm thinking of hooking it up to a switch till I fix my problem.
