    Hi

Was taking apart my spare block and found this:

Two bits of broken metal from the long block

Should i be worried? or is this ok to rebuild?

    Any help appreciated

    Thanks

Looks like a valve broken into several pieces?

Not a valve, i think the the rods hit the side of the block at the bottom of the piston champer

two chips missing from the area circled below

I checked further yesterday and looks ok, no more chips coming off it

Going to take it to a machine shop and have it checked out

Just back from the machine shop

The piston does not come close to that part so was told its all good

about and inch and half above that i can see the marks from the bottom of the piston rings

worrying for no reason i guess
