I guess I'll try to word it differently....
How do you take off the rear bumper? Stupid straps holding it on. Are they just rivets?
What can I use to hold on the bumper trim?( The two pieces that sit above the bumper cover, below the grille?)

I've been wanting to take off my bumper trim(the two pieces that sit above the bumper cover) for a while
now and replace them, but I wanted to get the hardware first. I tried going to the dealership and picking
it out in their tiny diagrams(I've gotten lucky before) but not this time. Dagnabit!
So what are the #'s for those little rubber washers and snap rings?
And also, when removing the rear bumper, what do you do with the little rubber straps that wrap from the
ends of the bumper to inside the wheel wells? The bentley doesn't even mention them. Is it a fox2 thang?

The rear bumper should be just the bolts under the rear of the car and 1 rivet on eithet side of the trim. There shouldn't be any straps involved, unless someone bubba'd the thing back on. The sides of the bumper cover slide on to plastic clips...
Anyways. Drill the rivets out with a nice sharp bit just till the head comes off, so you don't jack up the plastic. I think its 1/4 inch, can't remember. As far as the retaining clips go for the trim you can go to any parts/ hardware store and they should have them. Just bring the old ones with you for comparison.
remember to spay or neuter your politicians

NO, the straps are legit. They are on both my foxes, and I have seen them on every fox2 I've ever seen at the JY.
I'll take a pic later today to show everyone. It's kinda cold out right now.
ANd I'll take a run to Lowes or home depot today too. Thanks.

These "straps" stay riveted to the bumper cover......I used a pair of needle nose and bend them out away from the fender then the bumper sides have these slides that hold the bumper cover to the side of the car......
.... As for the clips I think you're asking about, I went to the hardware store and got lil stainless ny-lock flange nuts but as I remember they're a crazy metric size....I can't remember what size (like a 5-6mm)...the factory ones take a. Pronged tool to put on and get snug so I went with ny-locks....hope that helps ? FYI, when you get one off try a valve cover nut and see if that fits ?
