***New Independence Day Pricing - 3,200***
Up for sale is my 1990 Yellow Corrado G60. When I bought the car about a year ago, it was a basket case. I picked it up as a project to keep me sane during law school, and I've spent dozens of long nights fixing it up and turning it into a reliable daily driver. Now that it's complete, I've decided that I want rear wheel drive.
The car is somewhat rare in that it is a non-sunroof, non-abs model.
Since I've had it, I've done the following:
Motor:
- BBM Rebuilt charger running 68mm pulley
BBM Stage 4 kit (268/260 Cam, Chip, FPR, Thermostat, etc)
Techtonics Exhaust
K&N Intake
New Lifters
New coolant temp sensors, fan switch, knock sensor, O2 sensor etc.
New plugs, wires, cap, rotor
Replaced vacuum lines
New Timing Belt
New serpintine belt
New Radiator
Fresh VW Coolant (G12)
New Motor Mounts (front and left rear are solid rubber, right rear is hydraulic)
New battery
Fresh motor oil (Castrol 20W-50) and tranny fluid (Syncromesh)
Wheels/Brakes/Suspension/Steering
- Weitec coilovers w/ dampening adjustment
New brake pads and rotors on all 4 corners
New strunt mounts (front and rear) - upgraded VR6 mounts in front.
Powder coated control arms w/ R32/Poly bushings
New ball joints
New end links
New Rear Wheel Bearings
New Front Axles/CVs/Boots
Front strut tower bar
Flushed brake fluid
New V-belt for power steering
Flushed and replaced power steering fluid w/ Pentosin
Currently on 15x8 Borbet Type A reps w/ Yokohama S-Drives (very mild stretch, at least 60% tread left). Car will also come w/ Corrado Steelies with brand new all seasons (195/50/R15)
Interior/Exterior/Misc:
- New Windshield
Full black leather interior in good to great shape. No rips, although the drivers side bolsters are showing wear. Drivers side rear door card could use some help (the particle board backing is falling apart).
E-codes and clear turn signals
Shaved side markers
Shaved rear emblem
Pulled and Rolled fenders
Autometer oil pressure and water temp gauges, SunPro boost gauge
Stripped the sound deadening on the floor and replaced with light weight foam insulation.
New Fuel Pump & ECU Relays
The good:
- No accident history and the car passed CT emissions a few months ago
All of the parts above have less that 3,000 miles on them (with the exception of the coilovers, which were acquired used - not sure of the mileage but they work perfect).
The idle and throttle response are perfect. The car starts every time and is daily driveable.
The car pulls hard.
Spoiler works but only on the switch.
No sunroof or abs = less stuff to break
Corners like hell on the Weitecs and S-drives
The bad:
- Automatic seatbelts don't work. I removed the relays to reduce electrical fire risk.
If you try to shift quickly into second gear, it will grind. You need to rev-match, double clutch, or just shift slowly to avoid grinding. All other gears engage as they should, the car shifts great other than quick 1-2 shifts.
Speedometer cable is broken
Hood cable broke and I replaced with hoodpins.
Heated seats don't work.
AC doesn't get cold, and blower motor only seems to work at speeds 2 and 4.
Missing door speaker grills and the 3 vent grills on the dashboard.
Fog lights don't work at the moment. It might just need bulbs (I've never checked), but I suspect its something more complicated.
Paint is OK (no surface rust), but not great. It's a 10-foot car.
Actual mileage is unknown due to the speedo cable. The odometer currently reads 153,xxx.
Looking for $3,200, but will consider trades for interesting RWD vehicles with manual transmissions (including but not limited to e30s). Car is in the Hartford, CT area, let me know if you'd like to check it out.

Hard to tell from the pictures. 1/10: how is the exterior and interior?

The interior is good for a 22 year old car. The seats and carpet are good. Dash is good except for 2 missing hvac vents. The driver side rear door card is coming a part a bit, but is repairable.
The exterior is in good shape for its age. The paint is dull, but there's no surface rust on the car. No dents.
