Is that part of the crankcase breather system? It is needed unless you install a catch-can setup.

Directly in the center of the photo, to the right of the dipstick. The other end of the hose goes to my airbox.

Tradition is the art of making the same mistake repeatedly, on purpose.

Does anyone have some sort or schematic or diagram related to this system?

Yup, that would be in the Bently Manual for the car that the motor came out of.

Just leave it alone. It recirculates un burned fuel vapor and crankcase gasses back into your intake to be burned. Good for the environment.

That was my decision too.
However, I do need a replacement hose that goes between that point, my intake and my airbox. Mine currently does not goes to the intake as compared to what I've seen in various pictures throughout the forum. In the 2 engine swaps that have occurred with the truck, it seems I have overlooked that hose leading to the intake.
Does anyone know if they are still made and if so a link? I have seen the silicone hoses which I'm sure are a bit more expensive and seem to be over kill for such an application. IMHO. I have all silicone hoses for my coolant, but that hose in silicone seems a bit silly. I also do not need it in bright red as my truck is used for work as compared to show.
By the way kaltblutig, nice Johnny Cash reference!
Thanks in advance.
