Hey, guys, the chrome strip disappeared off my Phaeton's door handle 2 weeks ago, so I purchased a new door handle from my local dealer (only way to get the chrome strip ), cost me $230. I used just the chrome strip and the door handle still hasn't been removed from the bag. It is primed (unpainted) straight from Germany. If anyone is interested in just the handle shoot me a reasonable offer. It is the non-convenience package handle so there is no button for keyless access. I would love to get near half what I paid back... Thanks!

finding a place that could supply just the chrome piece? can't believe there aren't any other places out there where you can find an aftermarket piece to fit the area...

I wish I could have found a way. But I did my research. Even junkyards didn't have them. I have been and am still currently running into problems with finding parts themselves separated from their respective assemblys that are all sold as one assembled part (even though there are multiple parts included with the assembled "part"). It's frustrating but this car is no ordinary car so that makes not being able to find certain small parts a little more understandable and livable.
