Love it so far, it's fun to get back into a V8 with manual.

2004 Audi S4 in Moro Blue with black Recaros & wood trim
    - Audi telematics & navigation
    - Satellite radio & 6 cd changer in dash
    - 3 spoke steering wheel (special order with telematics package as it usually comes with the 4 spoke)
    - Heated front seats
    - JHM 93 octane Tune
    - JHM Intake Manifold Spacers
    - Milltek Exhaust Non Res no crossover
    - Milltek Catless Downpipes (necked down section removed)
    - k/n panel filter
    - H sport RS4 Front/Rear Sway bars
    - BBS RC 306 Forged wheels 18x8.5 et32 18.5 lbs
    - Dunlop SP sport 9000 255/40/18

Bunch of the usual stuff that goes wrong around 100k with S4's has already done, hopefully it continues to be a reliable car for me.

Not planning many mods for this one, but I do think I'll try to find some 19" BBS CH wheels to replace the 18" RCs. May plastidip the front grills and mirror caps, haven't decided if I like the chrome yet.

PO's photo since I need to go to DMV tomorrow before I can get it cleaned up.

Congrats on the car. I loved mine when I had it. I don't think the RC's flow with the car but the CH's will. Heres a pic of my old one with all plastidip'd grills.

You bought Vince's car, congrats. I was there when he picked it up in Ct. Fun trip back:

Here's what it used to look like:

    Sounds sooo good.

    Thanks. Completely agree, here's a B7 S4 with 19" CH, love it.

Saw that for sale, looked like a great buy To me it looks perfect as is, but to each their own. Enjoy it and update us when you decide to do any changes!

Maintenance aside, you can't go wrong an S4!

Nice car. I wouldn't mind getting into an Avant at some point, though I much prefer the look of the B7.

Great buy Keep arguing with myself on if I should pick one up as the new daily.

Pretty good that you picked it up after the major service interval.

Very cool. I much prefer the looks of the B6 to the B7. I like that you can find these cars for only slightly more than an R32 or with high miles about the same as R32. Please give a write-up on the car in the coming weeks.

Nice pick up. Great color and +1 for getting a manual. I think new wheels are in order, those don't really flow with the B6's design.

Congrats. I had a B6 S4 before trading it for the M, I loved that thing. Comfortable, quick enough, simply an awesome awesome cruiser on the highway. Took several longer trips and it was fantastic on them. I STILL miss the seats! MPGs left me wanting but you don't but a V8 sport sedan for fuel efficiency.

Sweet car. I second the CHs; RCs just don't work on this car.

I vote for keeping the grille and mirror caps as-is. Aluminum-look mirrors are what signal those in the know that it's an S...

    Nice addition!

Ps, if a car has silver/chrome window trim it is NEVER ok to black out the front/rear, or have black wheels. My opinion of course.

I agree, especially with a dark color car like in the OP.

Like what? The Timing Chain? Alternator? Water Pump? I hope those things have already been done. If not...

You done? Please find me 1 S4 that has had a problem with the timing chain, just 1. The issue you're trying to point out is the guides, not the chain. Not every single S4 in the world has a problem with the guides, just like not every Porsche 996 has RMS problems. The chain makes zero noise and there's no reason to worry until it does.

I'm satisfied with the condition of the car and the maintenance that has been done. That's why I spent my money on it, not yours. If something were to go wrong, I'm prepared to deal with it.

I've been looking at these and have found several very reasonably priced. TCL'er bzcat keeps scaring me away from with his claims of 13mpg .

The CK doesn't look too bad either. Granted these are 20" which I feel is too big.

B6/7 S4s are great cars. Just make sure you live close to a Costco gas station.

    Congrats!

Recent shot from my B6 S4. 13mpg around the city though is normal... but as you can see, its possible to get into the 20mpgs on the highway.
Congrats on the ride, enjoy it.
