82 rocco.... Greased passenger door latch now when I go over bumps my door unlatches. It doesn't open all the way tho. Also just put on new rims with a wider offset and lower profile tire. Don't understand why this is happening

Have you pulled on the door after you close it? Does it open then? Don't think I've ever heard of this happening - best guess is that the hook isn't fully engaging.

Door shuts and latches. Even when pulled on. I've noticed on uneven ground door is a pain to shut. Slam push hip shove....lock it and shut it...boom good to go....im a little at a loss. Maybe my suspension being a bit higher on passenger than driver? Maybe its tweeking the chassis a lil... Ill adjust could and check again

How are the door pins? If it's down to the metal, the door won't shut all the way and stay shut. My brother's GTI does this. If I take a hard corner or go over a big bump the door will come loose. They're $7.00 each at GAP, iirc. Always a good investment!

bent chassis and/or suspension mounting points?

bad (read: rotted out) door hinge(s)? <---either on the door or @ the b-pillar?

    <---- still leaning t'wards loose/worn/rotten b-pillar hinges.

those on the b-pillar of the car (harder to fix), or those welded to the door frame...on the door innards (more harder to fix properly).

recent susp tweaks shouldn't just now rear their ugly heads...shoulda been obvious all along....whether you were tuned to them then or are more so now.

When the door's open can you lift the door up and down an inch or so? I had a broken lower hinge on one of my old 16v's door that caused a similar problem.
