Maybe the categories should be broken down even further for each class. ie like Diamond Hill Showoff used to be. Mk3 show, and mk3 daily drivers

Love the gross generalizations about the Audi community being made by the organizers of this event I'm sure it's encouraging them to come back next year to show their cars and help with the judging...

Kinda bummed to see some of the things you said Tom, in all our emails back and forth about the show and our vendor spot for this year you seemed very professional and down to earth. But reading through this thread and reading your views on the Audi community makes me really start to regret being a vendor and being affiliated with this show in the first place...

And here's a big F U to the idiots on Audizine. Love how you're cars are so far above our crappy VWs. Weird how many parts match right up tho. If you hated the judging and show in general stay the **** home. I'll find a few more pink Jettas to happily take your place.
Seems the Audi guys are the ones with most of the problem. Know why that is? Because most are a bunch of *******s who have spent their life having everything handed to them and feel they are entitled to win. And as has been mentioned, their parents made sure they were made to be felt like they were winners even when they sucked at what they were doing. Hence why they need to feel like winners now while they suck at car building.

If you want a fairly judged car, get off your entitled ass and do something about it.
I'll be the first one to say it, neither myself, nor any of my idiot, Ass hole, Audi friends nor Granite State European will be back next year as participants or VENDORS. It sucks but when you talk **** and generalize a whole group of car owners it does tend to alienate some people.

Also in-case you aren't sure who this Audi a-hole with the low post count is, my name is Joe from Granite State European. We exchanged many emails prior to the show, I just wished you could have shown some of the professionalism after the show that I showed you before the show.

P.S. My parents didn't pay for ****... I worked my ass of for my car and all the things I have in my life.

I own a Audi and i love it because it was different and I'm not the one to complain.
I go to the shows to see all the different idears people have and because the VW people
Are cool people that don't talk crap like the Honda kids.(sorta) so the people that won good for them!!
And i bought my Audi that has over $20,000 in it my land rover and my infinity qx56 with no help
From any parent so i guess what some one is saying about us Audi people can't all be true

Just read this whole thing its pathetic to me to hear so many ppl b**** and complain about sh*t that people will not even remember next week. Who cares if u win a trophy or plaque. The only way anyone should win is if they have a true show car. 99% of the ppl complaining do not. Instead of investing all your time into your car try investing your time into making friends, because obviously you dont have any. I go to shows to see ppl i like to hang out with and just have a good time as do 90% of he ppl on here. As for the other 10% of whom we call elitists and think their sh*t is better than everyone elses maybe u should take up a new hobby because no matter what there is always gunna be someone better than u its life. Maybe u should just go sit back relax and enjoy spending time with ppl that u only see once in awhile and not be stuck up b*****s. Just my opinion. On that note the show is great always will be great. Great bunch of ppl that put it together they are always polite when askin them a question and always in good spirits no matter the situation. keep up the good work i will keep coming back no matter what happens great way to start off the year. One suggestion though can you maybe change the name to "rinse off" next year it just seems fitting.

I am sorry you feel that way. I have put many many hours into this show. Hours that I could have and probably should have spent with my family. Only to have people talk about all of the shortcomings, inefficiences and generally bash the lower priced VWs for ruining the scene. I take my work in this show very very seriously and when something does not go according to plan it really bothers me. I have apologized both on here and at the show itself. Only to have comments made on a board I obviously do not frequent. So behind my back.

If someone actually had a legitimate issue that they wanted to straighten out and not see how far they can push someone and grab a bunch of attention they would have sent a PM either here or on Facebook. But no one did. They all decided that posting here and on Audiworld to bash was a better way to accomplish whatever it is they felt was necessary. So that is where my issue lies and my frustration came from.

I may have taken my comments further than I should have but I was pushed there by people who had nothing better to do than start crap to gain a little internet fame. I respect your take on the whole thing but you are certainly not looking at both sides equally. I have made many many friends being involved with not just this show but the community in general. Find one that says they have now or have ever had an issue with me or anything I have done. Won't happen.

This show will go on again next year. We will revisit the judging issues. Maybe they get totally straightened out, maybe we do something completely different. At this point who knows? We would love to have you back as a part of it but certainly understand if you choose not to.

Feel free to message me with any questions or comments.

    Thank you .

In the end it pulls off an entire theme ,they did have at least 1 door open and the hood open as well ..so points for that

There is good work put int the entire car ,it may not appeal to the taste of 75% of us but nit is good work.

(this is a general statement, and not directed at your MK3, because I like that car a lot)

The best way to eliminate the legitimate complaints about the judging, and not the "opinion crap" is to actually have a process in the judging, and have the people doing it actually care about getting it right.

Soliciting judges a couple of weeks before the show doesn't exactly show a high level of planning, and it screams "this is an afterthought". Having been involved in this process before, the solicitation of volunteers used to begin in February. there were multiple judges assigned to multiple classes in case someone pulled a no show (which always happened).

Judges were sent in pairs, and after each class was done, the organizers went through, and double checked the decisions to make sure that the decision was agreeable.

The excuse of the rain, is crap, because there has been 1 sunny dustoff in the past 5 years, and this is not a new phenomenon.

In order to restore any bit of integrity in to this process, and make these trophies mean anything, you can't just keep changing the classes & criteria, you need to stick to a format, and actually give a sh!t.

Well thank you for your input. Your suggestions certainly make sense in a paid judge type of show. This is not one of those shows. So all you are going to get are a bunch of people who are willing to give up some of the time they could have spent hanging out with their friends to help out.

Maybe a conclusion once and for all for this issue is to do a single club choice award for each class. And just charge $20 to park inside the track. Judging will then be simply a, as you put it, "opinion crap" type of show. It will be a first come, first serve parking situation. Clubs and show cars. And once track is full the gates close.

If that makes sense to the masses than please let me know and it will part of our off season discussion.

    Thank you.

I like that idea, truthfully, I don't go to this show to see " show" cars. I go to meet new people and see what everyones been working on over the winter.

All the car needs is to be lower with some smaller wheels, now that i look at it it isnt that bad. Not body kits or anything, just a gli lip and skirts. Chicks like pink, cant be mad at the color. the 20's are a little eccessive but that car has way more work into it than most the cars at the show

I personally like the club parking as it gives a place to hang out without having ton of unrelated foot traffic but whatever you do some will like some will dislike. I personally love the show format (minus the lack of volunteers) and considing that the weather tends to be nasty it's a great turn out.

That would work out great. The person with the most friends wins.

I would do OSD club choice if anything. We'll see.
