I took the wagon to the dealer for servicing due to an oil leak. However, before taking it in, I put the car up on ramps and took a peek to see what was the culprit. I noticed that oil was dripping from the turbo area. Nine days ago they performed the following repair:
      (as per my invoice)
--> Cause:Gasket for the turbocharger pipe leaking.
--> Fix: Installed a new gasket, added engine dye to check for any other leaks and no more leaks were found after repair.

However, today I noticed oil in my garage floor again from the same spot!

The wagon is still under warranty (with 49k mi.) and I will schedule another service appointment on Monday.

      Has anyone else experienced this?

Oil saturation in the DV compartment is common on this engine. It is most likely a bad rear pcv. You probably have oil in your intercooler as well.

Thanks for the info!! Can you please elaborate on this "rear PCV" and what causes the oil saturation in DV compartment. I just want to know more about it so that I at least have a mediocre understanding before going to the service department. THANKS!!!

To be 100% honest I am not sure how the oil gets down there. Although i believe I read somewhere that it is caused from excessive blow-by. What I Do know is that you should probably just replace the whole pcv system as it is prone to failure on this engine. It's not that expensive of a fix.

My DV used to leak oil when I would start to loosen the bolts when I replaced it. Also leaked oil through the electronic connector... For me having oil where it wasn't supposed to be was the last straw. I could handle topping off the oil and checking on the cam follower from time to time. But the thought of my engine/turbo/intercooler being flooded with oil really freaked me out. I lemoned it earlier this year for excessive oil consumption (1.3qts per 1000 miles!) and haven't looked back.
