Thanks for the bump, it's odd that there doesn't seem to be much interest on these forums for Golf R performance parts that actually work. We've developed the most powerful .:R turbo kits on the market for some time now, our MK5 R32 Stage 4 kit puts down 525+WHP on PUMP gas - See JC@Douglas for details. I don't know any tuners building a production turbo kit with numbers like that. I'm thinking we should start selling stickers to go with the Soundaktor.

Fabricating downpipes for the Golf R is relatively difficult due to some extreme space constraints, but here’s a sneak peak of the CTS Golf R turbo kit featuring 3″ stainless steel downpipe, and external wastegate. The discharge from the wastegate will recirculate into the downpipe down stream to minimize turbulence near the turbine discharge. Thanks to Garrett for providing us with such a pretty package that is so well hidden under the hood…

Power output depends on turbo choice, tuning options, engine upgrades etc. These engine/ecu combos are for the most part the same as the old TFSI MK5 GTI's. Pricing is listed on our website, we just shipped one of these kits to a DSG customer overseas.

Here's a Dyno courtesy of Sorensen Performance in Denmark, who installed one of our FWD kits on a Seat 2.0T making a hair under 500WHP. If people think that 500awhp will be easily attainable they have another thing coming as these cars have a fair bit of drivetrain loss. The turbo used in the dyno below was a Garrett GTX3071R with 63ar turbine housing.

There's no witchcraft to these engines, pretty standard stuff, which makes them very tunable compared to MK6 GTI's and the late MK5 GTI's.

Thursday we had a sweet carbon steel grey Golf R roll in for a tuning consultation. What’s on the agenda? Eurodyne Maestro 7 stage 2 ECU upgrade, CTS Golf R intake kit, CTS Golf R downpipe, CTS Golf R direct fit FMIC kit and Autotech HPFP… Can you say wolf in sheep’s clothing?

That's okay, we can sort you out if you need something aside from a hot air kit, maybe a big turbo kit?

Some of you wanted to see some more pics of the CTS Turbo Golf R turbo kit. Here you go, she’s all buttoned up and waiting for a software revision from our friends at Eurodyne. It looks pretty stock right? Well, it’s definitely not stock…

The big turbo intake goes behind the bumper.

The standard intake for the Golf R stock turbo, as described at the top of this thread uses the factory air scoop and our air box.

Here’s a few pics of Dave’s Golf R, current mods include CTS Golf R intake kit, CTS Golf R downpipe, and ST Coilovers. Dave is a serious performance nut, prior to his Golf R he had a MK4 GLI 24V Turbo making in excess of 500HP… When Dave wants power he knows where to call! Special thanks to our friends in NY @ www.Stevebilt.com for setting Dave up with some sweet go fast goodies!

Intake works well if it's not hot out... I'll be adding a heat shield to see if hat does the trick. If not, back to stock intake
