    fdc vs. epc trans code for 01m hellllp!!!!!

    my 01m epc(trans code) automatic trans is shot.... found another 01m but its an fdc trans code will this still work? the fdc came out of a 2000 gti.... and my car is a 2000 gti..... please help thanks
