I think you'd have a tough time turning an enduro into a cafe racer. Or at least it'd be a lot tougher than turning an older "standard" into a cafe racer. Enduros, by their nature, sit high, with high bars, and upright seating, lots of suspension travel, etc. Cafe bikes sit low, not much suspension travel, low bars, etc.

I've been thinking about picking up a older enduro and wanted to see if anyone customizes them on the lines of a cafe racer/bobber/etc. I like that they are very functional but they just don't have that "look" Any ideas.

Maybe cafe racer is the wrong term, I'm looking for something different then the normal Enduro but can't spring for a Super Moto. Something in between. It seems like a genre of bikes that isn't customized as much as others.

Doing up a TW200 looks like a helluva lot of fun. Just stripping the plastics and hiding the wires transforms the look of the bike.

I remember when I took the motorcycle test they had a TW200 and I was dying to ride it. Too bad someone grabbed it before me though. I always drooled over them as it's such a bad ass little bike. It also seems to have a cult following. And they seem to take customizing pretty well. My concern would be could it move someone that is 190lbs ?

That looks awesome, but at the same time, the bike has a bit of an identity crisis...knobby tires like I would put on my XR, and a low mount exhaust? Form before function, I guess...

You'd probably really dig what these guys are doing. It seems like the next big "trend" post-cafe revival is a hybrid of cafe racer/flat tracker. Some of the customs coming out lately look like a blast to ride.
