Thread: Blue anthracite passat on black wheels?

    I'm just wondering if anyone has done this? I keep going back and forth in my head as to whether this would look good or not...Like more matte blackish im thinking
    If anyone has pics of this that would be great. And if its a b5.5 wagon thats even greaterer . Post em if ya got em

    Sorry, but black wheels (especially on a dark blue car) gives one of two impressions:

    "Someone stole his hubcaps and he's just showing the steelies"

    OR

    "Oh, I see - those are alloy wheels - he's just going for a 90's retro look!"

    Or he is too lazy to clean his wheels and the brake dust turned them black.

    Not a fan of black wheels ..

    Black wheels are tough to pull off... if they are nicely dished with a polished lip it helps - since the lip gives definition. It also helps if you've got a honking brake setup too.

    My old GTI black on black wheels:

    Depends on how you want to present yourself. Me I personally dont like the "hey look at me!" flash. Maybe its my age, Im not a loud obnoxious little kid.

    Yea, thats a nice one but I think that would be difficult to execute it that perfectly. I also really like Klutch SL14s and Porsche 944 twists in silver. That is, when I get new wheels and stuff. Fast before frills
