Rear windows -- do they open?

Hope this question isn't too silly, but I'm wondering if the rear windows on the Beetle open at all. I have a Labrador Retriever who likes to ride with her head out the window; I must take her needs into consideration as I replace my Passat Wagon! I'm wondering if they don't open, could she stick her nose out the passenger window from the back seat?
