Bump![]()

Hey guys so it's been more then a year without my radio working. I never had an idea what was wrong until a friend mentioned he had the same issue. The radio cut on/off sometimes when I hit bumps on the v3's. So it might be loose. Iv had my cluster replaced at the dealers in the past, but since then I had totaled the car then salvaged it so I just wanna double check all grounding points.
Thanks.

Is it not in the Bentley?
I'll see if I can find anything on it.![]()

The radio earths to the earthpoint on the thick underdash metal crossbar support.
On my RHD car it is approximately level with the bottom of the cluster and next to the climatronic airbox, so its near the middle of the bar
I need to take out the cluster to get to the bolt.
Not sure if LHD earthpoint would be mirror imaged or not.

Thanks guys, yeah man if you could check pls. Not sure how to pull out the cluster though. Guess dealer didn't replace it right.

The Bentley says it's grounded behind the instrument panel, center.

Found this pic of a LHD dash.
The earthpoint is visible in this picture where the left upright support attaches to the crossbar.
The is a large acorn nut there.

Now u scared me lol. Must be hard to remove the dash. Think I might have to try and put a new ground wire behind the radio and ground it closer?

If you pop out the cluster it will be just to the right of the cluster pod on the bar.![]()

There wouldn't be a DIY link? For poping it out. Thought the deal took off my whole dash to replace it. Damn only if Arron was still working there when it was replaced, would have been done right.

There are some pictures in this link:

You only need to do from Picture 11 to Picture 17 to remove the cluster
Disconnect the battery first.![]()

Hey guys so I finally gt around to doing this test and it didn't help. And noticed that the dealer ship crack all my screw points on the under dash cover. The 4 20 tox screws. So the radio is still making a clicking and beeping static sound instead of music. Any ideas will help.
