My good friend/guitar tech has a 1982 fender strat 1962 reissue. Easily top 3 best strat I've ever played. I know the first 2 years or so they were built in the Fullerton Factory, and past 85 they were built in corona. My question is how much different/better/worse is the corona era avri? The fullerton guitars I've seen go for $4k, where 90s examples go for less than MAP ($1600)
When the Corona factory first opened, I know they had a ton of parts left from the Fullerton shop, so if your guitar is one of the first few that came out of Corona, it has the exact same pots and pickups as the ones that came from Fullerton. Serials would help ya?
Oh, I don't have one. The reason why I ask is because I only have 1 reference point, my friends 82. I'm thinking about buying one sometime in the future and just wanted some info on one I can afford Haha.
