    1999 audi a4 q.8t misfire

    Well we got quite a bit of rain yesterday in the PA area, I was driving as usual and went to pass someone, I gave her roughly 70% throttle in 4th gear and she started misfiring/bucking like crazy, no CEL. It seems to do it only under heavy load, in 3rd and higher gears. Ignition control moduel has been replaced a couple months ago with a bosch unit, also plugs were replaced at same time. ideas?

    Pulled car into shop and started prodding around, found all connectors to coil packs with split wire insulators and some pretty green corrosion coming out... instead of spending 100$ on 4 new connectors going to be doing a AEB to ATW independant coil conversion for 200 and not have to worry about it anymore

    Just to update if anyone has been following, completed the ATW coil pack conversion this weekend, definetley woke the car up a bit, smoother idle, and incresed throttle response.. would suggest this mod to any b5'er currently running the older ignition system

    picked up the 1.8t ignition coil harness for 50.00
    and got 4 of the new style 4 Pin coilpacks for 125.00

    a bit of cutting and splicing involved, but well worth it in imo
