Needing help finding a part. Its the in tank fuel pump (some refer to it as the sender unit). Its the part that has the float ball. My german isnt all that great and my buddy here is trying to translate for me.

What i gathered from him is its the same one needed thats in the mk1 cabrio or scirocco.

part number or online stores where i can find this part would be much appreciated.

If it's just the in tank pump you need, thats relatively easy to find. Germanautoparts.com has them, see link: http://www.germanautoparts.com/Volks...olet/Fuel/98/1

But if you need the whole sending unit assembly, with the pump and fuel meter and everything else, well thats a different story. From my experience trying to find one, I've come to the conclusion that its one of those parts thats nearly impossible to find new.. I couldn't find one anywhere new that accomodates the in tank fuel pump. I mean NOWHERE.

If you are looking for the whole thing I think you'd be best of searching through the classifieds I think, or ebay, or a junkyard if you can find a car thats not in too bad of shape.
