2007 jetta 2.5 engine trouble

My jetta started acting up a few months ago and I am trying to figure out what is going on with is. The engine makes a pinging, knocking noise about 90% of the time. Some times it goes away all together and some times its real faint and others times very loud. I will not make the noise while it is at idle its only when I start driving you will here a distinct tapping noise. When the engine is first started it shakes at idle and does not run smooth like it use to. Also sometimes when you stop at a red light the car will start shaking real bad like the engine is missing but it is not making the tapping noise when this happens.
I have tried to replace the coils, and spark plugs with no luck. It finally just popped a code yester day for P0333 which when i looked it up it said knock sensor. That is the next part I am going to replace but am trying to figure out where its located. Can anyone help me out?
Also I am still not sure this is my problem and any input anyone has would be great. Thanks
