This is a 1998 Jetta GT 2.0. I orginally bought this car STOCK in 2006 with 72,xxx miles from a dealer. I stopped dailying the car in January of 2010, so 2 years ago.
Located in 19057, PA. Very close to NJ and not far from Delaware
Motor:
-113k miles
-TT Chip
-Swiss Cheesed Air Box
-New BFI oem motor mounts
-New Timing Belt
-New Accessory Belt
-New Battery
-Magnaflow high flow cat
-Custom Cat back exhaust with flowmaster muffler ( sounds nice and not too loud)
-NO CEL
Transmission:
-Originally an automatic, but I paid 1500 for Volkstech to swap it to a 5sp. It was a used O20, I believe a CHE model. New clutch was put in then and a new cable. Was done about 3 years ago.
-Never pops out of gear or anything.
Suspension:
-FK streetline coils with the helpers taken out (still have them though).
-VR strut mounts
-Eurosport upper strut brace
-New(er) front brakes
-New E-brake Cable replaced by Volkstech
-Rear wheel bearings were replaced about 3k miles ago by Volkstech
Interior:
-Golf Sport Plaids. Driver side has bolster wear and passenger side has a cig hole. Rears are mint
-Pioneer stereo system
-I believe it is Alpine front speakers. Not sure though. I put them in when I first got the car. They could be replaced.
-Mk5 shift knob
Exterior:
-Smoked Ecodes
-BADGELESS Vento grill (worth $350 alone)
-All Red overlay tail lights
-Shaved rear bumper (no line)
-Shaved front bumper (still has the line, but shaved out the side amber markers)
-DIY amber turns, smoked fogs, smoked dummies
-Painted mirror cabs
-Stubby antenna
-Fully Shaved Trunk
-Painted License Plate tub
-Car is repainted Black Magic Pearl (20th edition mk4 color)
The Bad:
-I took the rear view mirror down. I have it, just never put it back up.
-There is a dent in the one rocker. Nobody ever notices it, and it can easily be covered up by side skirts
-The paint was done myself, with PPG paint. Not a "Quality" paint job. The roof is peeling and the fenders are a little at the tops. However, I did make the paint look like how it looks in the pics. I'm just being detailed.
- The wheels are gone. The car will come with stock flyers, painted an ugly bronze color and Michelin winter x tires. They probably need to be replaced if you are going to daily it.
- AC does not work. Compressor kicks on but it doesn't blow cold air. Everything is still there.
- It is not inspected right now, because it is just sitting with the occasional start up and run. It WILL pass inspection, no problem as it always does.
-ONLY Rust spot is on the top of trunk lid (surface, and a TINY bit at that). Something nicked it, not sure what and the paint has a tiny chip in it.
Extras:
-The car will come with a mostly complete aba that I pulled from a friends car about 6 years ago. The motor had 77k on it at the time. My motor runs great, but in case anyone wants to build an aba up for it, they can have this motor too.
- I will include any extra parts I have laying around for the car.
Price: I'd like to get 3250 OBO. There are a lot of cars on vortex for sale with decent pricing, however not many of them can be dailyed for no problems with years and years to come.
Pics:
This is exactly how the car sits now, minus the wheels and it has a stock na lip on it.

THE CAR WAS NOT CLEANED, WIPED DOWN OR ANYTHING BEFORE THESE PICS. YOU CAN SEE SOME DUST, BUT IT IS CLEAN!

The bay wasn't cleaned before this picture. It comes up very clean for a stock motor/bay

OK here are the pics of the bad things.
You can see in this picture, that the clear people and there is base coat, then in the lower right corner you can see some of the original paint. It just needs to be redone. It isn't that big of a deal, just doesn't look pretty.
