Kelley Blue book has it at 4700, $5000 if it was immaculate. this is without leather seats.

considering that I'd probably only pay 3500 for it with nothing done to it if it was in decent shape with that mileage, I'd take the blue book.

Hopefully no one was injured in the accident. Considering your fragment of a sentence Im guessing it was a total loss. When my GTI was totaled they compared KBB prices to ones that were being sold locally on Craigslist, autotrader, ect and they basically averaged the price. Considering the older passats arent very popular I doubt you would get the suggested price from KBB. I think around 3k sounds reasonable depending what your standards of perfect condition is.
