Just got a TPMS warning this morning on our Tiguan ("Check Tire Pressure").

I checked all tires and pressure is good on all of them. Any pointers what might be wrong?

Are all tyres of similar size and tread depth?

over inflation may trigger that too. In my Tundra spare tire had a TPMS which ones triggered the system but I don't think Tiguans have TPMS in spares (not sure though).

2012(if that's the case) doesn't have sensors. Read the manual to reset it through the display once you set the pressure correct on all 4 tires.

Was it unusually cold where you are?

I'd let it set over night, check the pressure in the AM, and then reset the system in the dash. If it happens again, take it in to the dealer since it's under warranty...

Thanks much for all the feedback. I will check again in the morning and reset it if need be.

this is your chance to take it in to dealer and get the transmission software update via their telelink

    Yes, that's the perfect excuse

The TPMS problem went away this morning after I did the reset as suggested.

Regarding the transmission update, I am waiting for feedback from forum member "Ohio Tiguan" who is taking the car to the dealer today. Fingers crossed that the Tech-Line update is hopefully possible.

...waiting at home for the call to pick it up. Don't know what to expect, as I explained they need to call in, and they understood all off that; but still they had not heard of it, and I hope they talk to the right person on techline. I will post later in the other thread after I pick it up.
