Thread: fk streetline coil noise

    i put in fk streetlike coils in on my mkiv gti 1.8t dropped about 1/2 the coils allow to go down, in the rear if i push down i can hear a tick, and when im driving under 40mph i hear a vibration from the rear. any1 have any ideas

    On my GTI I just bolted the rears in without looking. Turns out that FK (or whoever.....) didn't tight the strut mount (if that's what it is called.... the metal part on top of the shock that bolts to the car) to the strut/shock. You have to drop it, run that nut down, then reinstall 2 bolts and enjoy.

    At the front I starting getting a metal to metal clank and eventual squeek. This was due to the "cap" that holds the strut insert down had started to back off. Then one of the inserts broke internally.
