    Hey Gang,

From my searches it seems my blinker stalk needs to be swapped out, but just wanted to have the forum help re-confirm that is what I should do next. Below are my searches which led me to swapping out my hazard switch first -- no luck. Secondly I tried using an electrical spray to clean the stalk without removal -- no luck. So, that leads to me to this point. Before I order the part listed in one the the links below, you guys think i'm on the right track?

Here is the actual sound from the little video I did. The blinker is on in the beginning of the video and when the blinker sound starts going faster is when the blinker is actually off. Its more than just annoying; its actually causing a problem with my after-market HID's. Its just enough power fluctuation to kick one of my ballasts off (driver's side) and I have no choice but to turn my lights off and back on again to get it to fire back up. If the blinker sound continues it will kick the light out again and at one point I have no choice but to pull over, turn the car off which will [i]sometimes[/b] get the blinker to stop going crazy.

If anybody is wondering ....its not a ballast problem or a bulb issue that just happens to be coinciding with my fast blinker sound issue. I've changed out the ballast with brand new ones and brand new bulbs and the issue only happens when the blinker starts to go crazy. A simple fix is putting a resistor in line with the ballasts to prevent that power fluctuation, but I want to get to the source!

Thanks for reading if you got to this point . Just looking for a little input before I start buying parts

I had the same Issue, I replaced mine with the hazard switch, thus far no clicking sound.

I wish it was the hazard switch, but I've already swapped that out. It was the first thing I tried. Secondly I tried just cleaning the stalk with electrical cleaner with no luck

Anybody else? Another reason i'm trying to get some opinions is i'm a little hesitant to pull the steering wheel apart to access the stalk. The whole air bag kinda scares me

Funny thing is today the sound is non-existent and of course my headlights on the way to work performed flawlessly.
