    Hey folks!

It has been quiet on the blog for some time now and the reason is I have been focusing on this project for the past 4+ months.
This is one of my dream car racers. A classic mini cooper with a rear mounted engine!

Enough of words, let’s watch some pictures.

I have to admit, every single picture looks 100% real until the last one. Something about the side mirror that screams CGI. Aside from that... I'm blown away

Agreed. That is amazing. I would not have guessed CGI if you didn't say anything.

Knowing that they are CGI, in addition to that rear mirror in the last, there two other nits:

The lower left of the above image where the window frame and concrete meet; the edge is too perfect.

The water in the above (again mostly in the lower left) looks too "algorithmic" and flat. There isn't enough texture to the asphalt surface.

I can't even believe I am bothering to point these things out though because the level of detail is impeccable.

Those are amazing, but why is the direction of the tread pattern opposite on the port and starboard side?

Sweet. I can't even imagine how he built this from the ground up, it's way beyond my comprehension...
"What's that loud, boring sound you'll hear when I stop talking?"
    "It's an albino humping worm!"
"Why do they call it that?"
"Because it doesn't have any pigment."

The font used for the John Player Special decals on the sides is not the correct JPS one.

    o,rly?

Like any livery there are a number of variations, and it's an homage to the JPS scheme anyways, not a replica.

Absolutely amazing work. The pictures are stunning, they look real, and would fool 99.99% of the people on the planet.

Now, on to using this talent for more important issues than cars, and confusing some of that 99.99% a bit more:

And let's not forget the truly superstitious:

A lot of this looks VERY impressive! However, I still can't get over the cloud reflections in the sky. Looks like there's a mismatch with the background and the HDRI reflections.

I guess I shouldn't tell him that the right front tire is mounted backwards.

    Edit: Both right side tires.
