I had my 2010 Fit for two years, and the only reason I don't still have my 2012 Fit is because it was taken out in that wreck ten days ago.

I saw the thread, just poking fun.

Buy the car, I'm extremely jealous.

      No worries.

My other considerations here are another Fit or a Ridgeline Sport. Talk about completely different choices.

I custom-ordered my car without ever having driven one (though I did drive a similar 3-series). I was in no way disappointed.

You can always re-sell the damn thing if you don't like it. These will hold values extremely well while there are still unfulfilled dealer wait lists.

I am sure that it won't be a 1M, but I wouldn't be surprised if slightly used models of these fetch a premium over MSRP for the first 6 months - 1 year that they are produced.
      I TCL.

Why didn't you put that in the original post? If those are the other options, then you are an idiot not to buy this thing.

i would wait until you can test drive it and compare it to the other cars that are around the same price. the magazine reviews are great but you might end up preferring something like a gti, mazdaspeed 3 or mustang v6 that have more horsepower and torque.

I'm fine being called an idiot. I'm still evaluating what I want / need in a car before I spend up to $31k. That makes me not an idiot.

Loathe VW after owning six. The Speed 3 seems boring. Had a Mustang GT (well, seven).

I either put down a check to hold one or I wait many months until a dealer actually has one in stock to play with.

I am getting one too in August.

I am a Miata guy, but the appeal of the BRZ/ Scion is their. I live in the Tail of the Dragon type roads and I drive them everyday, so I need something that can destroy these roads.

Anyone know how the base seats are going to be?

      If you want it, yes.

      If you're hesitant, no.

I personally have no desire for either car so its an easy "no" for me.

The only reason people lineup or "pre-order" for a car because they want to be the "first bunch" to drive (show off) the car on the road. If you are not into this, I don't see why you need to make such "commitment". It is not a limited production run. This car may be a hot item, but I don't think it is like "iPad" hot...

It's not really a commitment at all if the deposit is refundable. I'll call my contact at the dealer tomorrow and ask about whether or not it is.

I don't care about being the first to show off, but I do need a car here in the next few weeks.

Scion sounds like a dying brand. (They're going to discontinue the xB and xD)

Doesn't matter even if the Scion brand did get the axe.

Warranty would be honored at the Toyota dealerships, and I'm sure that the FR-S would then be turned into a Toyota for the US market.

So, what's the big deal again?

If you must ask...then, yes, you should buy an FR-S and tell us how awesome it is.
Look at your signature, now back to mine, now back to yours, now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine, but if you stopped using your old signature and changed it to this one, it could look like mine. Look down, back up, where are you? You're on a car forum, reading this signature.
