ive had her for a year and a half. came stock. havent done much to it, the a/c went out i had to fix that. it was just the clutch,

i have the extinguisher because ive ran a lot of custom wires and once they tripped and lit up. better safe than sorry. also they are all fused now.

Yeah, its new. Other than the Window problems that seems almost every one of them has not working its been a fun car.

Its my Wifes but i at least talked her into getting the Turbo Version for a little peppy fun since i sold my last fast car a few years ago.

I don't have many photos believe it or not... we have to take more and i don't think we have one of the engine yet. We are going to do at least a catback exhaust and a true cold air intake. Maybe a programmer or chip or whatever is available for this car but we aren't going to do to much.

We added the "turbo" graphics on the bottom of the sides (i don't think it was available on the platinum grey) and we added black vinyl to the cutout area surrounding the rear plate. We may do an offside Euro style flat black stripe.

Completely agree. the window is the only issue with ours and as frustrating as it is, I expected problems being a 1st year model but my fiancee wanted it over the golf so we went with the beetle. the lighting is nice inside, the window sill on the door panel has a little bit of light too that shines down on the arm rests but just barely.

the turbo has a good bit of lag, especially since its an Auto and you can't hold the brake and get some rpm's up to build the boost, the ECU just shuts you down

It rides good though, my fiancee drove 250 miles round trip yesterday for work and she got 34mpg using proper method, not reading the dash which said 32 average.

Check engine light came on for the same sensor again but this time it's not covered as I have driven over 12k since the last time it failed.... I have a pop coming from the front end which is a know issue with cc for sub frame shifting and a clunk when my dsg down shifts into first. Which has been a know problem with my car from day one where they have replaced the dsg mechatronic unit. There is also clicks coming from my steering column. Most likely none will be covered according to the service guy that scheduled my appointment. If vw wants to be like this ill get rough. Does the lemon Law still come into play after you have driven 40k miles?

I just got my car done and then on first drive I lost my speedo cable bolt on the tranny and it spat oil everywhere

It is a odd bolt so I will be looking for one in the junkk yard . 7x1.25x15mm

Seems like every one of them has problems with the window not going up when you want it to.

Here is a video i made after i fought with it for at least 5 minutes before taking video. I personally believe that its an overly sensitive anti-pinch sensor.
