Just curious but why don't you just get a wire for it?

Does anyone know of some heavy duty hood pins that will hold the STOCK corrado hood down FOR SURE even on highway speeds? If anyone has tried this and knows where to get them or can suggest me something plz do. I need to order some good hood pins for my corrado because the wire to the hood latch was cut in the process of taking off the rad support off my poor SLC.![]()

because id have to get a whole new assembly at this point, would rather just buy the pins and stick em in there and never have to worry about the hood not opening again.

Even if the hood never opens again, after your fix.... has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

all that apply... and i agree. i've put pins in 2 hoods. 1 was a G60 hood that had more bondo on it than the rest of the car and it was only pinned to find a good pin location in my rad support for the other hood that was pinned... Carbon Fiber.
if it's not a legit race vehicle, Hood pins suck

yup! which is why even though my green rado needs a hood thanks to Mr McNair falling on it, i am currently refusing to put a carbon on it for that reason

Rusty hood latches FTW Yo!
Seriously someone post a link to any and all info so he can do his hood properly...

I think I got my last cable from 1st VW Parts or the Local Dealer. I had the Gruven piece on the original and what a piece that turned out to be. It Nearly folded and broke in half trying to keep the proper amount of tension on the cable.
