      The LSA engine is a hoot. And 600 pounds lighter than my Caddy, it probably performs pretty well too.

      Nope, I looked up the numbers. The CTS-V wagon is 4400 pounds. The standard Camaro is 3800 pounds. I can't imagine that the gofast bits that the ZL1 option package includes are THAT heavy.

      The ZL1 is like 4100-4200 lbs

      I actually saw an orange ZL1 this morning on my way to work... I didn't have to time to pull out the trusty iPhone and take a pic as I was going to fast in the Juke to do so...

      I honestly thought I would see him at the next light or two and I could snap a pic but the guy never showed, I am guessing he turned.

      It is a monster looking machine but like many others, it doesn't do it for me... I think I am completely turned off the new Camaro due to how long it took them to actually release the thing. I am a Mustang guy but I love the Z06 and this is a cool Camaro and all but just doesn't do "it" for me.

      Don't see what's so surprising when the CTS-V coupe weighs 4200, the GT500 will probably close 38-3900, and the GT-R is at 3900. The M6 will probably be around there too if not more than those mentioned.

      Yeah, but that applies to all new cars. The proper way of framing it is the ZL1 was probably one of the fastest cars in that parking lot, and its not absurdly priced for that capability.

      The Camaro imo has the best looking front end of any sports car currently on the market... and the worst rear end. Totally kills the car for me. But GD if that front end isn't amazing

      A 500 whp Cobra is a solid mid 11 second car. How is that not in line with how other cars perform?

      Chevy hasn't made a Camaro close to this level since the early 70's. They've seemed to do pretty well over the years. Yes, your beloved 03 Cobra will appreciate years from now as well IMO.

      My step-dad's brother bought a 2002 Camaro SS 4AT because he thought it would be a collector's item because it was one of the last Camaros to be built. I smirked when just a few years later we had the Camaro concept. That guy is an asshat.
